The iPhone 3G has been making wave after wave of news and more of it has come again. This most recent piece of news may have people wondering about how romantic a device the iPhone is turning out to be. This device would be just as popular amongst the health-conscious just as well, it would get your heart racing.

The iPhone Heart Monitor allows you to listen to your heart beats. Using the inbuilt microphone of your iPhone 3G or the headphone microphone, the Heart Monitor will pick up the rate of your heartbeats and display it. You can pick up the beats from pulse points at your neck, wrist, or when placed directly over your heart; this can be done either using the headphones or without them. The Heart Monitor would give you a clue about your fitness level.

The Heart Monitor has to be used in quiet places for the best results and must not be mistaken for a medical device. It is available for $5 at hurl.

Samsung SGH-t459 Gravity More Than a Rumor for T-Mobile

Click to ZoomWhile it’s not quite the same as a full-fledged smartphone, the new Samsung Gravity (SGH-t459) certainly inches in that direction with its slide-out QWERTY keyboard. While in its closed position, the Gravity looks like any other candybar, but there is a full QWERTY keyboard that can emerge out the side for all your email, IM, and text messaging needs.

Does this form factor look familiar to you? In addition to a couple of Windows Mobile smartphones from HTC, you may also recognize this format as being nearly identical to the LG Rumor, which you can find through Sprint and Bell Mobility. With the Rumor/Rumour, the keyboard popped out of the right. With the Gravity, it slides out of the left.

Other features on this messaging phone bound for T-Mobile include a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth A2DP, and support for T-Mobile’s MyFaves. Check it out this November.

Samsung W600 Touchscreen Phone with HSUPA

certainly did not start with the Apple iPhone, but the recent
popularity of touchscreens can largely be attributed to Cupertino’s
creation. Not to be outdone, Samsung has been pumping out more than its
fair share of touchscreen phones, including the Armani, Instinct, and
Omnia. Going further is the new Samsung W600.

No, the Samsung W600 does not appear to get the same sexy name
treatment as some of its touchscreen brethren, but it is equipped with
HSUPA, providing uplink speeds as high as 5.76 Mbits/s. Not bad at all.
Other features include a 3-inch 800×480 touchscreen with haptic
feedback, 5 megapixel camera, and T-DMB mobile TV.

Unfortunately, this speedy devil looks to be yet another Korea-only
number. Expect the Samsung W600 to ship next month for about 800,000
KRW.
